Pastoral Vacancy Announcement

After seven years of dedicated service, our pastor, Rev. Harold W. Orr, Jr. MD will be leaving as of June 2023. We are currently accepting applications for the position of Pastor.

Greater El Bethel was organized in 1951. Our current membership is approximately 100 with approximately 35–45 active members. Although we are small in numbers, we believe in serving a true and living GOD. Our worship style is a High Worship and Praise Church with Traditional Hymns and Gospel Music. We remain prayerful that GOD will send us a Pastor.

We seek a Pastor with the following qualifications:

1. Dedicated to GOD
2. Must be Licensed and Ordained
3. Pastoral experience, or a minimum of 5 years in the ministry
4. Have a thorough knowledge of Baptist policy, doctrine, and beliefs.
5. Possess Biblical Principles outlined in 1Timothy 3: 1-7, 5: 19-22, &Titus 1: 6-9
6. Able to pastor all age groups
7. Be in good standing with current church
8. Community Outreach
9. Open to new ideas

The following qualifications are desired:

1. Strong oral and written communication skills in a church setting as well as a community setting
2. Degree
3. Married

The following Administrative qualifications are required:

1. Ability to preside over church meetings
2. Represent church at associations etc.
3. Spiritual Counseling
4. Visit the sick
5. Have no respect of persons

Applicant must provide the following:

1. Completed Application
2. Current Resume
3. Copy of License and Certificate of Ordination
4. (2) Personal References, and (2) Professional (pastor/minister) letters of reference
5. DVD of sermon within the last 6 months
